What we collect
- Viewers: account email, username, password hash, favorites/follows/comments, and standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept for a short period for security. We do not require or collect government ID from viewers; in regions that require it, the site is unavailable instead.
- Uploaders: the same as viewers, plus a log of your acceptance of the Uploader Agreement and of the attestation you make with each upload (date, time, IP address, browser, agreement version), and any stage names you choose to list for a video. We do not collect government ID, legal names or dates of birth from anyone. You are the producer and custodian of the 18 U.S.C. §2257 records for your own content; they stay with you.
- Approximate location: your IP address is checked against a geolocation database to apply regional restrictions. The result is stored in your session only.
Upload logs
Agreement-acceptance and upload-attestation logs are never displayed publicly and never used for marketing. They exist to evidence that the uploader accepted producer responsibility for a given video, and are disclosed only as described under Sharing — for example, to forward a lawful records request to the uploader concerned. We keep them for as long as the related content is published plus any period the law requires.
Cookies
One session cookie to keep you logged in and remember your 18+ confirmation. No third-party tracking cookies from us. If we carry advertising, the ad network may set its own cookies — see their policies.
Sharing
We share data only: with service providers that host or process it for us; when required by law, including mandatory reports to the NCMEC CyberTipline; to protect the safety of others; or with your direction.
Your rights
You can edit your profile, delete your videos, and request account deletion by emailing contact@brownvids.com. Upload-attestation logs for content you published are retained for the period described above even after account deletion. Removal requests from people depicted in content — whether or not they have an account — go through Report content.
